Lead Screw

Lead Screw is an important part of winch spooling device. Winch spooling device is a chain driven device specifically designed to ensure wire rope correct evenly spooling onto the winch drum.

We are specialized in the spooling technology of winches. We have improved the machining method of spooling shaft. The tradition spooling shafts are combined. The strength of the combined spooling shaft is cut down. Our spooling shafts are integral. The strength of integral spooling shaft is better than the combined spooling shaft.

There is not a standard range of this shaft type. They are designed and manufactured to meet the customer's individual specification.

The material is high strength steel ASTM 4140 HB 240-270 or stainless steel ASTM 316 (316L) or according to the customer's individual specification.

The length is less than 5000mm and the diameter is less than 300mm.

We know winch spooling device operation rule and design key. If the customer provides the distance between two flanges of winch drum and the diameter of rope and the diameter of spooling shaft to us, we can design the pawl travel distance, pitch, turns, under-cut, drive ratio of chain transmission for the customers. Besides the standard pitches on lathe we can also process many non-standard pitches to meet the design requirements.

The surface of our spooling shaft can be finished by two methods. The surface can be grinded by a grinding machine and the surface is smoothed. The surface can also be rolled by a special tool and the surface is smoothed and also hardened.

We can finish the surface of spooling shafts according to customer's selection.
